Fundraiser

Deliver Joy on May Day!

Special thanks to our sponsor, Radia.

Back in the “normal” days, we would be sending emails and posting on social media about our May Day bouquet fundraiser.  This year, we are adapting the fundraiser according to the Governor’s Stay at Home order. Our goal: keep the spirit of the fundraiser alive while raising key funds to support Mayday’s mission.

What’s different, you ask?  Wholesale florists are not essential businesses so we are unable to purchase fresh flowers for our bouquets in late April.  Instead, volunteers are hand making paper flowers.  (Want to volunteer to make paper flowers using whatever supplies you have at home? Send an email to baskets@maydayfoundation.org and we’ll get you started.) While we know fresh flowers are preferable, we hope you will continue to support The Mayday Foundation’s mission with an order or donation this year, knowing that we plan to return to our regular fundraiser in 2021.  *Donations are always accepted and easy by clicking here.*

Surprise a friend, neighbor, coach, relative, music teacher, coworker or anyone special in your life with a little pick-me-up. Volunteers will lovingly create your May Day (paper) basket and deliver it to a Thurston County address on Friday, May 1.

Want to send a May Day basket to someone who lives outside Thurston County?  Purchase our virtual May Day basket and we’ll email a lovely e-bouquet to your recipient.

All proceeds support The Mayday Foundation’s mission to provide immediate, practical support to families coping with cancer while raising kids at home.  Since inception, we have helped 55 local families stay in their own homes and avoid bankruptcy during cancer treatments.

Orders are due by Sunday, April 19.

A few logistics:
*Delivery is limited to Thurston County.
*Each basket will include a flyer about The Mayday Foundation.
*Prefer to just donate?  Click here to make an online donation from the comfort of your home.
* Additional questions may be answered on our FAQ page.  Check it out here.

If you are interested in volunteering to make paper flowers or driving a route to deliver the bouquets, please email amy@maydayfoundation.org.
